Brave heartof India

Getting National bravery award is no child play, but fact is that this award is meant only for the children in India for the meritorious acts of bravery against all odds. 

Getting into more details in this, Government of India and Indian Council for Child Welfare instituted five series of National Bravery Award for 24 Children below the ages of 16 for their respective bravery act. Following is the list of awards.

• Bharat Award, since 1987
• Sanjay Chopra Award, since 1978
• Geeta Chopra Award, since 1978
• Bapu Gayadhani Award, since 1988
• National Bravery Award, since 1957.

Every year selection for the award are made from the applications received from central or state government departments, panchayats, zilla parishads, school authorities, state and Union territory councils for child welfare. Selected 24 children names are announced either on 14 November, Children's Day or in January following year, and later these 24 children receives the respective bravery award from Prime minister on independence day and get the chances to take part in Republic Day parade.

Interesting fact associated with the origination of bravery award for children is that, dates back to 2 October 1957, when Jawaharlal Nehru, was watching a performance at Ramlila grounds, there suddenly fire broke out and hundreds of people got trapped in a burning tent , In such a panic situation there present a 14-year old a Harish Chandra showed his bravery act, who without making any delay with a knife, ripped and opened  the burning tent, thus saved the lives of hundred people.

Harish’s act of bravery inspired Jawaharlal Nehru a lot that he announced and instituted the bravery awards meant only for the brave children. And thus Harish Chandra became the first recipient of the National Bravery award of India.

So, my friends next time, if you, happen to see children waving their hands in Republic day parade don't forget to  remember the above given information and their daring act.

Dream to do Different

Every year the day IIT entrance results is announced, I get interest to know the student result of Super 30 coaching programme and every time Anand Kumar leaves everyone of us with surprise, beyond our expectations.

Anand Kumar best known as a teacher and founder of his Super 30 programme, which he started in Patna, Bihar in 2002, coaches economically backward students for IIT-JEE, the entrance examination for the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) at free of cost along with free accommodation facilities.

Anand kumar, earlier life was not so simple. Due to financial problem, he studied in hindi medium government school. He had deep interest in mathematics, During graduation, Kumar submitted papers on Number Theory, which were published in Mathematical Spectrum and The Mathematical Gazette. Unfortunately he dropped his admission plan to Cambridge University due to his financial problem.

With many disappointments and worst circumstances, he continued his studies. He worked on Mathematics during day time and helped his mother in selling papad in the evenings and tutored students in maths to earn extra money. Every weekend he travelled Varanasi, for six hour on train to Central Library of BHU, to read foreign journals for his reference and his own study.

In 1992, Kumar started his own tutorial institute in the name of the Ramanujam School of Mathematics. Within a year, his teaching started, gaining popularity from two students to thirty-six, and after that no looking back.

Later in 2002, Anand started Super 30 coaching programme, for IIT-JEE exclusive for the poor student who couldn't afford the fee due to poverty. Where many economically back wards section students appears for the test, and only selected top 30 intelligent students out of it are given free coaching, lodging, free food with study materials for a year. 

He prepares the selected 30 students for the Joint Entrance Examination for the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). Anand Kumar has no financial support for Super 30 from any government as well as private agencies, and manages on the tuition fee he earns from the Ramanujan Institute.

During 2003-2011, 236 students out of 270 have made it to the IITs. And in 2012, 27 of the 30 student cleared the IIT-JEE. 

His name is been included in an international list of 20 pioneering teachers of the world. Discovery Channel broadcasted one-hour-long programme on Super 30 and half a page been devoted to Kumar in The New York Times and bagged many more popularity, achievements and awards for his work.

Thus, today, I feel proud to say, Anand Kumar with his way of teaching and motivation has changed the life of many students and had set the example of being true Guru as mentioned in the given famous slokas.

Master mind behind the creation of Zoo Zoo

During IPL season2, we all, along with the interesting matches, even enjoyed the Vodafone advertisement. Where complete white tiny funny creatures, with iconic name ZooZoo, in white from head to toe with bulge stomach and gigantic head similar to an animation made all of us to smile with their silly activities.

Curiosity got the better of me and with little search, I got the few facts associated with it, thus sharing the same with you all.

Actually Vodafone during IPL Season2 planned to present their product to the audience in different and new way. To give the shape to their plan, Mr.Rajiv Rao Executive Creative Director of Ogilvy & Mather agency generated the concept of Zoo Zoo.

The ads were shot by Prakash Varma and were produced by Nirvana Films of Banglore, who recorded it within 10 days. The pre-production work happened within a month with cost of around 3 crores rupees. and new idea was involved in making of the set too, made the look  of the sets larger than life, to make the characters look small.

I was much surprised to know that The Zoozoo’s are small-bodied, thin women as an actors, who are covered in layers of specialized white fabric. Each facial expression was made of rubber and pasted on the actors. Body was stuffed with foam especially around the stomach, and perpex a kind of hard material were used for the head. And thus silly and humorous character Zoozoo was created.

Mr.Rajiv Rao is also the master mind, who made the world's ugliest dog as national pug dog popularly known as Hutch pug dog. Who selected the  Pug dog as a part of Hutch ads matching to the slogan “Wherever you go, our network follows".

Whenever i happen to see the Vodafone ads, couldn't control myself from appreciating, wonderful work of brilliant mind behind the creation of Zoozoo.

Better to rectify our small mistake

A wealthy man was quite upset with his son bad habits thus he approached an old scholar who can make his son get away from it. The scholar took the youth for a stroll through a garden. Stopping there he asked the boy to pull out a tiny plant growing there. 

The youth held the plant between his thumb and forefinger and pulled it out. The old man then asked him to pull out a slightly bigger plant. The youth pulled hard and the plant came out, roots and all.

"Now pull out that one," said the old man pointing to a bush. The boy had to use all his strength to pull it out.

"Now take this one out," said the old man, indicating a guava tree. The youth grasped the trunk and tried to pull it out. But it would not budge.

"I – It's impossible," said the boy, panting with the effort.

"So it is with bad habits," said the sage. "When they are young it is easy to pull them out but when they take hold they cannot be uprooted."

This Lesson changed the old man changed the boy's life.

Rectifying our small mistakes helps us to become more wise and matured.Thus mistakes once realized must be corrected immediately or else it forms the strong  root, causes of all our problems.

Suna hai ab har rastha aapka kissie aur sehar ki taraf ab mukh modtha hai........

kuch khoya, kuch rukha lagega swaad mein apko tab yeh idli sambar ki galliyan yaad ayega,

Dhoondthe reh jaoge her restaurant mein, per yeh swaad sirf, aur sirf ek yaad banker apke dil mein reh gayega.

Beautiful Chennai and my unforgettable experience

Tasty Idlli immersed in sambar, crunchy vada, awesome chutney, along with

filter coffee in sarvana and murugan idli, Those used to be my special morning

weekends which i have spent in namma Chennai.

Bustling sounds of flower sellers with fragrance smell of malli and jadi poo, spread of these sweetest and pleasant smell in the atmosphere can't be felt other than in namma Chennai.

Felt special in every occasion either in marriage or party, all thanks to Nalli and sundari silk for their fabulous classic dress and saree collections, Can't imagine ever, such silk or cotton dress collection with blend of unique authentic south Indian mark other than in namma Chennai.

As very well been said Nothing is permanent in this world, one has to keep moving, the same here, I am moving leaving the beautiful Chennai with deep sinking heart but carrying along the unforgetable memories in my heart, will remain ever in my soul the wonderful life which i have spent in namma Chennai.

“Bermuda” is considered to be casual attire for both men and women. It is worn throughout the world wide but have we ever thought about its origination?

I would like to share some of the few associated facts related to Bermuda.

Bermuda Shorts, also known as walking shorts or dress shorts, are a particular type of short trousers. It is said that they are so-named because of their popularity in Bermuda, a British Overseas Territory, where they were considered to be appropriate business attire for men.

Bermuda shorts originated with the British Army for wear in tropical and desert climates. Post 2nd World War period, local merchants of Bermuda named Trimingham Bros. and H.A. & E. Smiths improved the design of the shorts and used variety of colours to make it popular.

One must not confused Bermuda shorts with "clam diggers" or "capri pants" which extends below the knee. Cargo shorts also may be a similar length, but are typically baggy or less "tailored" than Bermuda shorts.

Silk City or City of Thousand temples

Kancheepuram known as "The City of Thousand Temples" and also as "Silk City".

This city beholds in herself few interesting facts which makes her complete unique from others holy cities in India. Apart from the worldwide known for making of hand woven silk fabrics, this city is considered to be one of the seven holiest cities as per hindu religion and is one of the three Shakti Peethas, the other two being Madurai and Kasi.

Prominent hindu temples are situated here with their own shrines like Varadharaja Perumal Temple of Vishnu and the Ekambaranatha Temple which is the "earth abode" of Shiva, Kamakshi Amman Temple, Kumara Kottam, Kachapeshwarar Temple, and the Kailasanathar Temple.

Communal harmony is also seen in this city, where Nawab Sathathullah Khan Mosque and Vaikunda Perumal Temple are situated very close and both the mosque and the temple share the same tank.

Do we know authors behind famous folk tales

We all have read many stories during our childhood. No doubt, where Snow- white, Cinderella, Rapunzel were all time favorites. But ever we thought about the authors who gave us such interesting and wonderful story tales?

Facts related to these story tales is that all of them were taken from real life incident which was altered with times.

Later in 19th century Brothers Grimm (Jacob Grimm and Wilhelm Grimm) made remarkable history, who were known for writing and publishing best story tales. They were German academics, prominent linguists, cultural researchers, and authors who jointly collected folklore and published collections of folk tales, which became known world-wide.

Brothers Grimm popularized works were "Cinderella", "Snow-White and Rose-Red", "The Frog Prince", "Hansel and Gretel", "Rapunzel", "Rumpelstiltskin", "The Town Musicians of Bremen".

I am neither a Millionaire nor a rag

I am a middle man who lives in between the above track.

  

No escape and can’t hang about from the increasing inflation

Our situation is more like  sinking man in a quicksand.

  

Country’s hard and fast rules both not in favour of me

 as recommendation and reference  tags is not with me.

Whether it’s a harsh sunny day or rainy day, difficult to walk

Outside, therefore being middle men  prefer storing an umbrella

than relying on our governments false  promises every year.

Sounds Sleep is what? Almost I have forgotten, because of rising

Prices from onion to petrol have influenced much my daily life.

Roots of all the above problem is not my government and its policy

but its only i who being educated and wise still always ignore my voting right.

SMART PERSON

The story of Tenali Raman seems simple but explain's in depth, the smart

way to tackle our  tough situations that we come across, in

our every day life, of course cannot be wise like Tenali  but

not even impossible too.

Survey says, in this world only 8% people are successful

not because they are wise and skilled  but they are a SMART

PERSON, as they are smart enough in understanding the situations and

problems, can handles them in better and clever way.

Freedom is the all i want...

If i get one chance......

I wish i could  fly in the open sky,

 to cheat myself in every way, And that is why i have stopped

 believing  even myself too, because, i know i cheat myself day by day."

 hum aise  addicted ho baithe hai,

 Ki ghar wallon se jaida abb,

 baharwalo ka hi khayal rakht pathe  hai.

 Iss Mobile ke chakkar mein hum

 bilkul immobile ban baithe hai,

 milne se accha abb hum video chat

 se  hi kaam chala lethe hai.

 Socha tha aadunik materials se hum

 zindagi set kar baithenge,

 Per ye tho bilkul bhul baithe hai

 ki hum ek life WITHOUT

 LIVE ban baithe hai."

Judging our self is the toughest job of all

Life  is too short to judge about our self, In every aspects of life, certain character changes due to various circumstances.....surroundings, family background, location, experience, working place, culture, religion.We keep changing gradually every day and at the old age we find ourself  completely different from what we were during our 20's, 30's ----------.Thus the  character changes  without our knowledge  which ultimately gives the biggest challenge to judge about our self.
